Album Notes & Community Reviews

Compiling electrifying, previously scattered singles recorded for Chess Records in the early 1960s, this release captures the guitarist operating at the absolute peak of his manic, innovative powers. The searing, intensely emotional fretwork heavily bridged the gap between traditional Chicago blues and the impending British blues-rock explosion.
