Album Notes & Community Reviews

Assembled to chronicle Doug Martsch's early, shifting lineups during the band's initial run, this compilation features rare singles, B-sides, and early live recordings. The tracks retain the loose, sprawling guitar interplay that would become the band's signature, heavily steeped in a Northwest slacker-rock aesthetic. It acts as a rough, compelling prequel to their highly polished major-label albums.
