Album Notes & Community Reviews

Gathering sessions from 1950 to 1952, this Clef Records compilation places the bebop innovator within larger orchestral frameworks arranged by Joe Lippman. The album illustrates his enduring desire to bridge his complex improvisational vocabulary with traditional big band structures.
