Album Notes & Community Reviews
Posthumously compiling brilliant early-1950s studio masters, this crucial collection captures the foundational architect of modern jazz operating at the peak of his virtuosic powers. The blistering, highly complex improvisational flights over rapid chord changes remain an absolute textbook of the bebop vocabulary for all subsequent generations of musicians. It stands as an essential, high-energy preservation of his revolutionary harmonic innovations.
