Album Notes & Community Reviews

This post-humous compilation flawlessly distills the intensely romantic, heavily melancholic vocal recordings of the legendary cool jazz trumpeter. Focusing primarily on his iconic mid-1950s Pacific Jazz sessions, the collection pairs his hushed, incredibly fragile singing voice with his lyrical, restrained trumpet solos. It serves as an essential, highly accessible introduction to the defining sound of West Coast jazz balladry.
