A survey of Chic's Atlantic recordings of 1977 to 1982, the band built by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards around rhythm guitar, bass and string arrangements. It includes the disco standards 'Le Freak' and 'Good Times', the latter's bassline later foundational to hip hop through 'Rapper's Delight'.
