Album Notes & Community Reviews

Blatantly retitled and repackaged by Chess Records to capitalize on the massive, widespread twist dance craze while the artist was incarcerated, this album essentially functions as a wildly successful greatest hits collection. It gathers his impeccably crafted, incredibly influential teenage rock and roll anthems from the 1950s, successfully introducing his foundational, revolutionary guitar riffing to a new decade of American record buyers.
