Album Notes & Community Reviews

This 32 track CD anthology gathers the break-in novelties across Goodman's whole career, from the Buchanan and Goodman records that invented the form in 1956 through his solo topical hits of the seventies. Seventeen labels had once sued over the records' borrowed fragments, and the courts ruled them a new form of burlesque, an early legal landmark for sampling culture.
