Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Anytime, Anyplace' compiles early, gritty recordings of Mac Rebennack before he fully adopted his voodoo-drenched Dr. John persona. Heavily steeped in the syncopated, piano-driven traditions of New Orleans rhythm and blues, the album offers a raw, unpolished glimpse into his foundational influences. It showcases his deep, bluesy roots alongside primitive, driving funk rhythms.
