Album Notes & Community Reviews

Gathering the essential singles from the Liverpool band's incredibly fertile first phase, this compilation captures Echo & The Bunnymen transitioning from stark post-punk minimalism into sweeping, orchestrated grandeur. Highlighting the iconic, surging melodrama of 'The Killing Moon', the sequence showcases Ian McCulloch's brooding baritone backed by Will Sergeant's delay-heavy, psychedelic guitar textures. It remains an impeccable summary of one of the 1980s most atmospheric and critically revered guitar bands.
