Album Notes & Community Reviews

The album collects the group's 1968 Sondor sessions, which circulated only on singles at the time and were first gathered on LP in 1977. The band brought together Eduardo Mateo and Ruben Rada, and its fusion of candombe rhythm with beat-group instrumentation founded the candombe-beat style; Lion Productions reissued the recordings in 2005.
