'A La Casa de la Trova' compiles fifteen tracks Eliades Ochoa recorded for EGREM between 1981 and 1996, the body of work that led to his recruitment for Ry Cooder's Buena Vista Social Club. It includes his reading of 'El Cuarto de Tula', a song featured on the Buena Vista Social Club album, alongside sones, guarachas and guajiras from the Santiago de Cuba tradition of Cuarteto Patria, the group founded in 1939 that Ochoa went on to lead.
