Album Notes & Community Reviews
Combining two monumental 1975 releases onto a single CD, this reissue highlights the Nigerian bandleader's absolute creative and political peak. The title track famously recounts a harrowing incident involving police brutality, smuggled marijuana, and extreme defiance. Driven by unstoppable, polyrhythmic funk arrangements and scorching horn sections, it stands as an indisputable masterpiece of Afrobeat.
