Album Notes & Community Reviews
This pairing reissues two Fela Kuti albums from his mid-1970s run with Africa 70, 'Monkey Banana' and 'Excuse O'. Extended groove-based compositions, call-and-response vocals and Tony Allen's drumming carry Fela's attacks on military rule and social hypocrisy in Nigeria.
