Album Notes & Community Reviews

Artis Wodehouse realised Gershwin's own piano rolls, cut between 1916 and 1927, on a nine-foot Yamaha Disklavier grand for this album, produced and engineered by Max Wilcox at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York. The twelve tracks include Gershwin's solo-roll 'Rhapsody in Blue' and 'Swanee', closing with 'An American in Paris' from a roll drawn by editor Frank Milne.
