Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released by Geffen Records primarily to offset the massive, decade-long delays surrounding the band's mythological 'Chinese Democracy' album, the compilation was notably opposed by Axl Rose. Despite the internal legal friction, it compiles the wildly dangerous, blues-drenched hard rock anthems that made them the biggest band in the world in the late 1980s. It became one of the longest-charting albums in Billboard history.
