Album Notes & Community Reviews

Masterminded by Morgan Fisher under various absurd pseudonyms, 'A Collection of Classic Mutants' poses as a compilation of obscure punk bands covering standard pop hits. The record is actually a bizarre, highly inventive studio experiment, fracturing familiar melodies with jarring tape loops, cheap synthesizers, and jittery post-punk arrangements. It survives as a brilliant, surreal piece of British underground musical satire.
