Album Notes & Community Reviews

Gathering the entirety of the Swedish songwriter's initial, highly acclaimed CD-R EPs and limited 7-inch vinyl singles, this compilation acts as an exceptionally strong pseudo-debut album. Lekman heavily pairs witty, hyper-specific narratives of romantic clumsiness with a remarkably lush, sample-heavy approach to chamber pop reminiscent of The Magnetic Fields. It immediately established him as one of the most uniquely charming and critically adored voices in 2000s indie pop.
