Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Joe Hisaishi Meets Kitano Films' compiles the composer's scores for Takeshi Kitano's films, including 'Sonatine' and 'Hana-bi'. The pieces pair Hisaishi's minimalist piano writing with string arrangements in a sparer idiom than his Studio Ghibli work.
