Jools & Brian

Album Notes & Community Reviews

This early compilation gathers the initial, heavily mod-influenced singles recorded by the powerful British vocal-and-organ duo before their massive late-60s commercial breakthrough. Featuring Driscoll's remarkably fierce, intensely soulful vocals cutting over Auger's driving, jazz-inflected Hammond B3 grooves, the collection provides a vital look at their aggressive roots in the London club scene before they began exploring expansive psychedelic arrangements.
