Album Notes & Community Reviews

Compiled by Tom Swan for the Chess Vintage Series, the album gathers Fulson's Checker and Chess recordings, opening with the 1954 Dallas session that produced 'Reconsider Baby'. The sequence runs through Willie Dixon-produced Chicago dates and keeps the false starts and studio talk on 'Tollin' Bells', a rare unvarnished glimpse of the sessions.
