Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released as the group was pivoting sharply toward highly commercial pop, this uniquely focused compilation gathers their entirely instrumental, frequently jazz-oriented B-sides and EP tracks. The collection beautifully showcases the leader's highly proficient, heavily rhythmic organ playing and the band's largely unheralded improvisational chops, providing a fascinating counterpoint to their massive vocal chart successes of the British Invasion.
