Album Notes & Community Reviews

Primarily a compilation of rare, unaccompanied transcription recordings from the late 1940s, this collection provides a masterclass in the guitarist's revolutionary fingerpicking technique. The complex, syncopated thumb-bass patterns heavily influenced generations of subsequent country and folk musicians. It remains an essential, purely instrumental document of early country virtuosity.
