Album Notes & Community Reviews

Assembled and overdubbed entirely by Glenn Danzig after the band's dissolution, this compilation serves as a highly controversial but undeniably potent collection of early Misfits material. 'Legacy of Brutality' captures the intensely raw, melodic, and hyper-energetic collision of 1950s rock-and-roll melodies and B-movie horror aesthetics. Despite the contentious, lo-fi production, it remains a deeply passionate, foundational document of horror punk.
