Album Notes & Community Reviews

A best-of drawn from McDowell's post-rediscovery recordings of the 1960s, when the Mississippi hill country guitarist was recorded by Alan Lomax and Chris Strachwitz. His bottleneck playing on Spanish-tuned guitar is the style's defining sound.
