Album Notes & Community Reviews

Collecting Juan Atkins' groundbreaking early singles under the Model 500 moniker, 'Classics' is an indispensable document of electronic music history. The tracks map his pioneering synthesis of European synth-pop, electro-funk, and futuristic sci-fi aesthetics, directly giving birth to the Detroit techno movement. Featuring anthems like 'No UFO's', the compilation perfectly preserves the mechanical yet deeply soulful origins of the genre.
