Album Notes & Community Reviews

This Prestige compilation pairs early 1950s sessions originally credited to the Milt Jackson Quartet with later recordings under their formalized band name. The tracks document the group's transition toward the highly arranged, classically-influenced interplay that would become their signature sound.
