Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released independently to satiate an incredibly obsessive cult fanbase, this massive box set includes the band's two legendary studio albums alongside several EPs, b-sides, and rare unreleased acoustic recordings. It fully documents Jeff Mangum's transition from noisy, fuzzed-out lo-fi experiments into the deeply poetic, brass-heavy folk epics that permanently defined 1990s indie rock. The collection provided the ultimate, definitive archive right as the band announced their surprise reunion tours.
