Album Notes & Community Reviews

The nine tracks of 'Jazeera Nights' are live recordings made between 1995 and 2009 and transferred from cassette, compiled and edited by Mark Gergis as Omar Souleyman's third collection for Western listeners. They capture the raw wedding party sound of the Jazira region, bouzok and keyboards at full tilt, before his later studio collaborations carried the music further afield.
