Album Notes & Community Reviews

Gathering the highly influential, abrasive singles and B-sides released before their debut studio album, 'Terminal Tower' is a foundational text of the American post-punk movement. Formed amidst the industrial decay of late-1970s Cleveland, Pere Ubu synthesized the garage-rock aggression of proto-punk with analog synthesizers, tape loops, and David Thomas's warbling, deeply anxious vocal delivery. The collection remains a vital chronicle of a band violently deconstructing rock conventions into avant-garde art.
