Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Irwin Chusid with Hal Willner as executive producer, this was the first major-label CD collection of Scott's 1937 to 1939 Quintette recordings, among them 'Powerhouse', 'Dinner Music for a Pack of Hungry Cannibals' and 'Twilight in Turkey'. Scott had sold his publishing to Warner Bros. in 1943, after which Carl Stalling threaded the tunes through dozens of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies scores. The collection restarted Scott's reputation and sent the original recordings into 'The Ren & Stimpy Show'.
