Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released on the heels of their massive late-90s resurgence, this compilation surveys the Red Hot Chili Peppers' transition from manic funk-metal upstarts into mature, stadium-dominating alternative rockers. The collection leans heavily on the melodic, sun-drenched anthems of 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik', 'Californication', and 'By the Way', defining the definitive sound of modern California rock. It includes two new tracks that perfectly bridge their slap-bass origins with earnest pop songwriting.
