Album Notes & Community Reviews

Gathering the entirety of the highly influential New York quintet's brief recorded history, 'A Retrospective' functions as a foundational cornerstone of the late-1990s screamo movement. The compilation highlights the band's mastery of extreme dynamic shifts, violently contrasting delicate, jazz-inflected guitar arpeggios with punishing dissonance and agonizingly shrieked vocals. Released posthumously, it solidified their legendary status within the DIY hardcore underground.
