Album Notes & Community Reviews

Gathers the fiercely intellectual, highly abrasive post-punk EPs released by Green Gartside's collective prior to their radical pivot toward glossy 1980s synth-pop. Heavily influenced by Marxist theory and dub reggae, these raw, skeletal recordings capture the absolute ideological purity of the late-70s DIY movement. It provides a fascinating, crucial counter-narrative to the band's later mainstream commercial success.
