Album Notes & Community Reviews

Gathering early 1950s sessions originally released on Prestige 10-inch LPs, this compilation features the saxophonist seamlessly switching between alto and tenor. The brisk, highly articulate solos demonstrate his mastery of the Charlie Parker vocabulary while asserting his own distinct rhythmic drive.
