Album Notes & Community Reviews

Named for their 1967 single, this compilation gathers the recordings of The Smoke, a Yorkshire band whose 'My Friend Jack' was banned by the BBC for its drug references yet became a major hit in Germany. Their brief career produced a small catalogue of melodic psychedelic pop prized by collectors of British freakbeat.
