Album Notes & Community Reviews

Remixed and remastered for his major-label debut, 'Trilogy' massive compilation bundles Abel Tesfaye's three highly mysterious, critically acclaimed 2011 mixtapes: 'House of Balloons', 'Thursday', and 'Echoes of Silence'. The project completely revolutionized modern R&B by stripping away its traditional warmth, injecting it instead with heavy doses of drug-fueled nihilism, darkwave synthesizers, and post-punk sampling. It fundamentally altered the sonic landscape of mainstream pop music for the subsequent decade.
