Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the mod icons' first official compilation in the UK, this collection perfectly summarizes their explosive, highly confrontational early singles prior to the release of 'Tommy.' Gathering fiercely aggressive, generational anthems like 'My Generation' and 'I Can't Explain,' the album showcases their blistering rhythm section and Pete Townshend's unparalleled ability to fuse maximum R&B volume with incredibly sophisticated, sharply melodic pop structures.
