Album Notes & Community Reviews
'The Chimurenga Singles 1976-1980' collects the 45s Mapfumo cut with the Acid Band and the early Blacks Unlimited under wartime conditions, a provenance the sleeve itself warns about. Sung in Shona and loaded with political innuendo, these are the recordings that made him the voice of the liberation struggle.
