Album Notes & Community Reviews
This two-record survey of the Dorsey orchestra opens with 'Margie' and 'Hawaiian War Chant' and gathers twenty-four tracks including 'Marie', 'Song of India' and 'I'll Take Tallulah'. It documents the polished dance band Dorsey fronted in his trombone-led sweet style, the most commercially successful of the swing era's big bands.
