Album Notes & Community Reviews
A pairing of two albums by drummer Tony Allen, Fela Kuti's musical director in Africa 70: 'No Accommodation for Lagos' and 'No Discrimination'. Allen's highlife-rooted kit patterns, looser and more linear than in Kuti's band, define afrobeat's rhythmic grammar.
