Album Notes & Community Reviews

An introductory sampler to Van der Graaf Generator's catalogue, named for the span between their quietest and most violent material. Peter Hammill's songs, carried over David Jackson's twin saxophones and Hugh Banton's organ, made the band progressive rock's darkest outlier.
