Written exclusively for Richard Ayoade's coming-of-age film of the same name, the Arctic Monkeys frontman delivers a remarkably gentle, acoustic-driven solo debut. The lush, melancholic crooning and lovelorn lyricism perfectly complement the movie's hazy, nostalgic British coastal setting. The quiet elegance of the arrangements notably foreshadowed the slower, crooner-oriented aesthetic his primary band would eventually embrace.
