Album Notes & Community Reviews
An incredibly stark and influential recording within the British folk revival, featuring completely unadorned, a cappella vocal performances. Briggs' pure, highly ornamented singing style brought a haunting authenticity to traditional material, deeply impacting subsequent generations of folk musicians and songwriters.
