Quadrant Dub

Submerging a steady four-on-the-floor pulse beneath cavernous layers of delay and static tape hiss, this project is largely credited with inventing the dub techno genre. The duo masterfully applied the spatial mixing techniques of Jamaican dub to the strict repetition of Berlin electronic music. The 20-minute hypnotic exercises established an influential blueprint for minimal techno that remains prominent decades later.
