Album Notes & Community Reviews
This release largely compiles early demo recordings that were originally circulated prior to the recording of their landmark debut album. It documents the Scottish collective in their most nascent, lo-fi state, emphasizing Stuart Murdoch's witty, character-driven lyrical vignettes. The inclusion of the trumpet-led title track cemented their reputation for crafting delicate, chamber-influenced indie pop.
