Streams of Thought, Vol. 2

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving rapidly after the acclaimed first volume, this installment features the legendary Philadelphia lyricist collaborating exclusively with veteran producer Salaam Remi. The instrumentals trade aggressive boom-bap for incredibly smooth, soulful basslines and jazzy horn arrangements, providing a distinctly warmer, funk-driven backdrop. Tariq Trotter's intricate, relentless wordplay remains the focal point, continuing an impressive, late-career solo renaissance.
