Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving alongside his highly influential work with internet rappers like Lil B and A$AP Rocky, Michael Volpe's official solo debut perfectly distills his signature atmospheric beatmaking. The tracks heavily utilize distorted, pitch-shifted choral samples and dragging, lo-fi drum loops to create a profoundly moody and immersive environment. It played a pivotal role in establishing the ethereal, ambient-leaning sound of the 2010s cloud rap subgenre.
