Modal Stims

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Modal Stims', Clark pivots from the vocal-led structures of recent work to the immediate, rave-inspired energy that defined his earlier output. The album fuses raw, dancefloor-focused techno with a sophisticated exploration of musical modes, building immense atmospheric depth through scale-based melodies layered over static, driving harmonies. Tracks often build around the tension between abrasive, distorted textures and moments of beatific, melodic euphoria, creating a sound that is both corrosive and strangely beautiful.
