Album Notes & Community Reviews
Expanding upon a Hugo Award-nominated song created for a 'This American Life' episode, 'The Deep' crafts a vivid Afrofuturist mythology. The abrasive hip-hop trio imagines an underwater civilization built by the descendants of pregnant African women thrown overboard during the Middle Passage.
